Knowing that I have spent many years relocating people from all corners of the globe, I still cannot put my finger on a French map and say “this is my favourite place”. The diversity of France stretches from the hills of Provence to the contours of the Pyrenees, through the valleys of the Dordogne; the gentle landscapes of the Loire Valley and the peaks of the Alps; to the sun drenched beaches of the Mediteranean, all the way to the wine regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne. A lifetime of visits would not exhaust my love of this beautiful country.

With a land mass of 537,000 square kilometres, France is the largest country in Europe with a population of 60 million. France has a republican tradition, yet over 85% of its population are Roman Catholic. “France is by far the most popular tourist attraction in the world” - The Rough Guide 2007, with almost 80 million visitors per year.
